Practical and quick to install

The socket is easy to install, neatly processed and loads quickly. It would be even better if the socket could only be installed by cable lug, then you could replace an existing cigarette lighter socket in 2 minutes

The blue led lights up the whole cabin (if not the marina). You have to seal the unused ports too to sleep nearby in darkness.

The product is in order from the manufacturer and also correctly described. In contrast to the enclosed operating instructions and the print on the socket (see photo), an error has occurred in the description on the part of SVB. There are definitely no two times 3.6A at the outputs, but only one time 3.6A at both ports together! 3.6A corresponds to exactly 18W at 5V. Ie. This performance corresponds to the current Apple USB chargers that are included with newer pads, for example. It should therefore be possible to load two such devices at the two ports in parallel. If you try that, the device switches off - exactly as described in the operating instructions.

Good design, unfortunately extremely long charging times via USB, giving the impression that the specified current levels are not being adhered to. On the other hand, certain end devices from Samsung require special charging cables, so that they come into question as an additional source of error. It remains confusing and ultimately unsatisfactory.

I bought two of them, installed in the 12V network, both deliver only 2 x 1A instead of 2 x 2.5A
Suspected after installation, because an iPad took forever to charge or did not get enough power when using GPS.
Confirmed after dismantling, measured with a DC power pack, regardless of whether it is fed with 10V, 12V, 15V, 24V, on the USB side only just under 1A is supplied.
Product is for the bin, can not recommend it.

Unfortunately, until recently we only bought these completely overpriced USB sockets (at Amazon with red light 2 pieces for 17.99). Yesterday the second outlet dropped out after about a year. Even if one has been doing her work here since 2019, a completely unacceptable price-performance ratio!
