Installation and connection are straightforward thanks to the standardized flange. Only calibration (Raymarine Axiom) is a bit complicated.

Very good fuel level sensor, without alternatives. DIN dimensions, making it easy to replace.

after installation it seems to do the expected work. I just regret that the wire with the NME2000 socket is not a protection to be even more waterproof when the sensor is installed on a semi-rigid because in this case the socket will receive water (and sea water)

The encoder works perfectly.

It would be desirable to have detailed instructions on the NMEA 2000 encoder and instrument configuration and information about the KUS hotline

The encoder makes a good and solid impression - first tests (with water as the medium) show a perfect function.
Unfortunately, the sensor on a Garmin GPSmap7412 is only recognized as a fuel sensor, so far I have not been able to integrate it as a black water sensor. Here the problem is not yet solved!

I got two of these sensors. One in the fresh water tank and one in the fuel tank. They both work fine but there is no possibility to calibrate the sensor for non square tanks. That would be a nice feature as tanks in boats often have odd shapes.
Also the length given for the different models is not exact, they might be a bit longer than stated.

The sender does what it's supposed to – display a fill level (4 stars – at over €100, it's a bit pricey).

Thanks to the N2K connection, installation was quick and easy. The SAE 5 hole pattern also fits, except that my tank had a plastic ring that I had to cut. This has nothing to do with the product itself, but rather with my existing tank.

The sender needed to be programmed – but it arrived without any programming. This caused some confusion.

After contacting them, I was promised a callback – which never came! Instead, I received an email – return it! I called again, and SVB promised a callback – this time, too, they didn't keep their word! After the second delivery, I couldn't install it (the boat is now in the water, and I can no longer access the tank), but I could only test it at an accessible point on the N2K network – now it also displays the fresh water level.

Contrary to the information, the measuring system with reed contacts and a float magnet with jumps in the display and not "tank sensor type capacitive"

After replacing the tank in my sailing yacht a year ago and installing this sensor in the new tank, I was able to test the system extensively. On a tour of 290nm and refueling four times, the donor showed particular problems. In the range below "25%" the display on the tank went empty, but the content corresponded to approx. 30%. Same problem when refueling; Display shows 100%, but the true content was only about 80%. Measuring points every 21mm correspond to a resolution of approx. 9-10%. The result was that from a 50 liter tank content, only 27.5 liters were usable in the monitoring. Absolutely no purchase recommendation.
