My experience is that the first time you use it, the way to start it is with the air switch. It only goes to the right when the unit is off. To pull the starter rope, the switch must always be on the left, and the unit starts immediately.

We purchased this item for re-sale to a client who is very happy with it's performance.

Starts well, is nice and quiet with low power output, still ok at full load. Runs for me without any problems with a Victron Multiplus as a reserve and power increase for a solar system. All functions of this combination are possible UPS, Power Assist, Charger and also the speed reduction at low power. TOP.

The generator is used both on board mainly for charging the batteries in case of non-availability of a shore power connection as well as as an emergency power unit in the domestic area for operation of the heating system and / or freezer chimney. He fulfills these tasks to the full satisfaction. Particularly praiseworthy is the well-made instruction manual. The oil filler neck is positioned somewhat unhappily. It is not easy to fill the oil without sloshing into the generator.

I would order it again, but I would unpack it on site, unfortunately mine has a few dents in the case, which I unfortunately only saw at home, otherwise everything is fine.

Quality product, like the other Honda I own (mower, outboard, motorcycle). A very annoying defect all the same, the oil filling practically horizontal. You have to be crazy to invent something like this. You will need a funnel with a bent tube, and as it must be filled to the brim, you have every chance to put it everywhere. When the dipstick (on the plug), as it is practically horizontal, the accuracy is zero. But as it must be filled to the brim, why put a gauge? Also think that there are as many variants of this model as electrical outlets in the world (and even more!). So if you find (a little) cheaper elsewhere, beware. These are often models with "exotic" shots. The one sold by SVB has F type female sockets, compatible with the male plugs F and E. The sockets used in France are type E. There are many offers with A, A1, A2 or G. Not very practical with us! Problem with accessories The DC charging wire is very short and of small section, and the clamps are tiny. It would be better to buy the plug alone and make its cable with larger tongs. In addition, SVB offers adaptable exhaust pipes (quite expensive) but the user manual states that they should not be used.

I received the generator in good time, but Honda issued a recall in the serie. Delivered the generator to Honda representative and still didnt get it back. My planned holidays in my boat had to be cancelled.
