The front bar is a "back bar".

The bracket is generally well-made, and mounting it to the clamp is straightforward. Exposing the recesses in the clamp's base is a bit fiddly.

Important for specific applications: Due to the way it's mounted in the base, the "front" bracket can only be installed facing backwards in the direction of pull. (The guide bracket included with this small size can only be mounted facing forwards.)
