No longer has to leave the helm to manage AIS alarms. I'm also now using the big antenna to communicate with the Marineros. They probably understand me better than on the handheld radio. It's a shame that there isn't a cheap second holder, I just need mechanically secure storage at the helm, not a second charging cradle for €100

Good concept, but crippling problem

I recently installed a B&G V60-B VHF with the wireless handset. Nothing to say about the VHF, but in the same day, the handset sent 2 DSC distress calls without me lifting the Distress button flap (or even touching it. I'm still in the process of trying to figure out what happened, but there's definitely a serious design flaw there.

H60 cannot be operated with existing V50!

Although only the gray plastic parts on the H50 are affected, there is no replacement after 5 years. V50 and H50 must be replaced!
V50 or The new V60 is used at the outside steering position for locks, bridges and boat-boat communication.
