Very easy-to-use radio.

AIS and GPS data can be displayed on the plotter.

Installed the VHF radio and tested together with my Lowrance chart plotter, all OK, AIS showing vessels on chart plotter

I installed the device in my sailing boat. The GPS works perfectly and connects after about 30 seconds. The display is very clear and large. The device is really very easy to use, I have to say. processing top -)

This unit is quite an improvement from the Link8 which was already a superb product

I bought the radio about four years ago, mainly because of the integrated AIS function, and I am very happy with it. Installation and handling are good, although the menu navigation takes a bit of getting used to. A simple external GPS antenna for just under €10 is recommended, especially for indoor installation.

Unfortunately, after winter storage this year, condensation had penetrated the inside of the device, even though the device is installed inside the boat and is considered waterproof. The 2-year guarantee had already expired, but in my opinion such a defect should not occur. The manufacturer offered a 50% discount on a new purchase.

Conclusion Good, but probably only lasts for a limited time longer than five years.
