Great material

excellent solution for minor gelcoat repairs

I initially only repaired a few scratches (not down to the laminate, as far as I could tell). It's easy to apply. The adhesion is good, even outside the damaged area. After 12 hours of curing at 15 grit, it's easy to sand, then finish with 1200 and 2000 grit and polish with Hempel Custom Polish. The surface is then as smooth as the surrounding area. Why not 5 stars? The color deviates from the surrounding area, which unfortunately makes the damaged area more visible (as small blobs or streaks) than before the repair. So I'll paint over it with Yachtcare Crack Repair RAL 9010 and hope that the color will then match more or less. If I'd known that, I could have saved on shipping costs. Years ago, I fixed a similar problem with Yachticon Gelcoat. The color result was excellent. Discarded the remaining stock because it had dried out. Product no longer available.

Good product. I took a tube of white but the final color is gray. A little disappointed !

Easy to work with, but I think the container is too big for a repair spatula.

I am not at all happy with this filler. After applying it and smoothing it out, you can still scratch it off with your fingernail, even if it has been drying for days. To prevent this from happening when sanding, you have to work very carefully and use very fine sandpaper.
I think I will throw away the almost full tube - it's not worth the money.

Unfortunately, the color is not white and therefore a color after-treatment is absolutely necessary.

1. Unfortunately, "white" (I checked the color on the tube) does not know (have a Bavaria). From the tube comes something I want to call "old-white". Manfrau also sees the difference after drying. 2. I could not grind after 2 hours, it broke the layer applied today. The first shift I applied yesterday. 3. I am now looking for a "white" gelcoat in a small (repair) amount.
