I bought a St 2000 from you in April 2024 for a 7m sailboat which was already equipped with an (old?) St 1000 which I found too weak (tired?). In the middle of our sailing vacation, our Autohelm 1000 tiller pilot stopped working. When I called SVB, they recommended the successor product, the Raymairne 1000 plus. When I asked if I could replace the 11 without any additional tinkering, they answered yes. So I ordered the product, and it was delivered to the harbor within less than 24 hours. Unfortunately, there was still some tinkering involved. The plug wasn't compatible with the old tiller pilot. Prone to failure with outboard motor

Tiller Pilot for serious long distances

I have installed a Tiller pilot in the past on a telstar Trimaran and have just installed one on a corsair 24 Trimaran. Installation was simple when you learn to measure and extend it fully and retract it fully then set it to the middle extension before drilling holes to set it up. This was not mentioned in the operation Instructions! I have not had the opportunity to test it yet but am sure that it will be a great help on long passages just as in the past.

SVB like the ST 2000 cane pilot

With SVB I had very good results, I bought this pilot from the Canary Islands and today I received it, it took longer but there were problems with the carrier, which I will talk about later.
The communication with SVB while they were trying to resolve the misunderstanding was very fluid and they never took long to respond either by email or by phone.
The price of the product is very good, although you have to take into account taxes, procedures and shipping, of course. I already had another pilot like this so the installation didn't cost anything, in fact I plugged it in and it worked fine.
The problem was DHL, which here has a subcontract with DHL Parcel, and there was no good communication with them... perhaps it could be improved here... in short, happy with the purchase, but from the Canary Islands I will not buy again, here are very special people...
