Pay attention to good fastening. Unscrewing the pot to change the filter takes some force. Be careful when screwing in the hose connections. The threads should mesh properly the first time, something can easily go wrong. Greetings Erhard.

This filter lives up to its name, it really filters, so that the drinking water from the tank no longer "smells".

After just 2 days, a plastic hose connection broke off.
(Between the thread and the hose nozzle)
I replaced both connections with brass parts.
It seems that you can save money in the wrong place.

The screw-in fittings for the hoses are made of plastic. In the instructions for use: Please do not over tighten, because they could break. And what happens? To get it tight, you have to put on something and not just crack high-quality material. Metal execution would be better.

No nonsens filter, works fine, clear water !

Does not affect SVB but Yachticon and their support, but a buyer should know. The supplied screws do not fit, the information on the thread is wrong. It is not a 5/8 thread and not the one mentioned in a call to Yachticon 1/2 "It is a 3/8 IG, the 5/8 \" refer to the usual hose size!?! The case otherwise makes an appealing impression.

A few turns of sealing tape on the threads of the fittings, tightening with a wrench required, the first one was the second one it completely sheared off! So I couldn't finish my installation

The filter works well and can be installed securely and in a space-saving manner behind the pump and the pressure compensation tank once you have connected it tightly (see below).
The tank itself is also high quality and appears to be stable, and the filter works without any problems after the modification below.
Unfortunately, the plastic thread of the white connection nozzles is made of the cheapest plastic, i.e. it either leaks because you don't tighten it enough on the first careful attempt (there are no sealing rings included), or it leaks after the second tighter attempt because the nozzle is damaged at the transition between the thread and the nozzle (1x hairline crack with water leaking out, 1x complete tear which blew off the hose when the pump was switched on).
We then replaced the plastic nozzles with brass nozzles, which we screwed into the plastic of the housing with a bit of brute force (and which the local marina shop fortunately had in stock). We were able to use the filter this way and it has been doing a good job ever since. Without this little "McGyver move" it would have been completely useless and rubbish. It's a shame that the manufacturer saved a few cents in the wrong place and ruined the whole product.

I do not understand that a filter intended to produce drinking water can bear the label "can cause cancer...." (see attached photo).
A refund will be welcome.

You don't have to buy metal connectors from specialist retailers simply to find them .. then you add 100 €

I'll know how the filter works in three months. But the installation is a disaster, plastic flanges are supplied on both sides.. which break off under slight pressure or tension. Had to buy in hardware store and metal flanges including converter, since no standard thread dimensions are used... thus 20 € more expensive plus taxi costs of 60 € and 4 h time...
