After the wettest winter ever in the Algarve, I had excellent results with the Meaco dehumidifier. Dehumidifying the boat should be done gradually; the damp mattresses, towels, pillows, etc., need about 10 days to dehumidify slowly. If dehumidified too quickly or for too long, the wooden slats in the boat will warp!

It really gets the most moisture out of the air under all conditions. Unfortunately, it rarely lasts longer than 2 years. I still have the Meaco in use in several places and, like now again, I buy a new one b Others are much worse. Repairing also seems almost impossible. I disassembled it once, but then couldn't find a way to get a replacement motor.
