The pump was mounted in the wrong direction, from engine to tank! It was easy to fix since it was mounted with cable ties and not hose clamps! But it was cheap compared to Mercury orginal.

Fuel hose set to Mercury AB

The fuel hose set would be purchased with the new engine. Luckily I took it out of the box and tested it. The motor-side connection was installed against the pumping direction of the pump ball. This part as a reserve in the boat would not have been able to perform its function in an emergency!

Pump mounted upside down

Unfortunately, this has created stress and anger. I didn't order the hose for myself. My friend's engine did not start with the hose. So I drove 200 km to him and then quickly recognized the problem and fixed it in 1 minute. But these are costs that would not have been necessary with appropriate quality assurance. So be careful when buying the product.

Connection does not fit to tank

While I can live with the fact that the connections were mixed up on my side, I can't live with the fact that the connection for the canister doesn't fit and that the SVB Service advised me to cut it off in order to connect the hose to the canister using a hose clamp associate. I returned the hose and canister.
