I bought this product (triple trap stopper) as a spare part. It makes a solid impression. Hopefully it will last longer than the 3 years of its apparently similar predecessor, which weakened and always let the big fall slip back 5-10cm after being pulled through.

Problem with 10mm halyards

The quality of the product is not questioned, it seems excellent. But the maximum diameter indicated by the manufacturer for the halyards is not the real one. 10 mm halyards barely pass through the stopper, creating excessive friction; they don't slide well when the stopper is released, which creates a problem when lowering quickly. Even in traction with the stopper closed, considerable additional resistance is evident. I had to buy three new halyards as the original ones were unusable with this stopper.
On lower sections no problem
