Chrome rings for Vdo viewline gauges

The chrome rings crack when fitting in vdo gauges.
I believe the measurements of the rings are to small or the plastic is too hard, probably due chrome treatment. Plastic without flexibility .
Shall i order another pair of chromed rings or change the color of the rings? At the moment I already crack two pair of rings.

Missing measurements from the website

The information about the rings shows only the diameters, but the height of the rim and other measurements are missing, therefore, cannot fit on my VDO gauges.
Please, add a technical drawing for exact information.
