The alternator was installed in a Volvo MD21B, there were no adjustments to the housing, etc. necessary, only on the tensioner must be 2 U discs interposed so that the V-belt was aligned, or the LM was not distorted.

Some adaptation work for assembly on a Perkins 4108. In the end, a 90 AH alternator four times cheaper than the equivalent offered in Polynesia, showing that "low cost" can rhyme with "low tech"

Attached to a Renault Couach RC16D.
V-belt had to in contrast to the previous alternator
be placed on the outer recording. Escapes well.
Connection to the batteries via charging current distributor Victron Argofet.

Solicited by telephone and email, SVB was unable to provide me with information concerning the compatibility of this product with a Volvo 2040D. Still bought despite an unclear email return on the subject because a little taken by the weather, I was lucky enough to be able to install it by adapting it (by filing the support too wide by 3mm and using for the tension adjustment point a second existing hole - for what purpose?-). A date on the device gives it a few years of manufacture already; old stock to sell? Apart from that it works normally with indeed a very good value for money. Connected to external Sterling regulator; access to the coals is easy in order to make the connection to them. Good connection. Attention; Sold without pulley or fan To see if resists over time....,,
