Nice blinds, but flimsy side rails

These are a good replacement for the equivalent (and expensive) "Oceanair" blinds.

The fit is good although the fixing holes from the Oceanair blinds are still just visible.

My only complaint is that the "side rails" between the two blind cassettes are to thin and very flimsy.

Once fitted, the side rails tend to sag down in the middle defeating the object of the silicon sealing strip and creating an unpleasant gap.

Not a show stopper, but irritating just the same.

Proven replacement roller blind

After our existing roller blind (built in 2006) had become outdated, we had to buy a replacement. The roller blind is impressive in terms of quality and also works well. It can be easily and simply installed on all flat surfaces. However, and this requires a little adjustment work, the surrounding paneling of the old Luck needs to be adjusted. In our case, the Luck was installed 6 cm higher up to the ceiling paneling. If the paneling was not adjusted and shortened in height, a surrounding hollow space would then be visible. The effort is manageable and can be done quickly with a jigsaw.

No info on cultivation

The roller blind does not fit my Lewmar hatch, I did not find any information about the attachment or dimensions in advance and had to order by eye. The desired dimensions were then on the packaging, did not fit my hatch and there was also no suitable roller blind for my hatch according to the dimensions. Where the price comes from with the simple construction is a mystery to me.

Various defects

When we went to install the blind (and we have 2 of them) we noticed various defects in both blinds
- missing sealing lips
- broken mounting clips
- broken retaining magnets
The only really bad product so far that I have received from the SVB
