With its capacity, start-up behavior, pressure build-up and pressure maintenance, the pump meets my expectations.

Good flow rate, acceptable noise level
The delivery capacity and the simultaneous supply of several taps is really remarkable. Unfortunately, the noise level has only changed marginally compared to a Jabsco diaphragm pump; it is now a whirring noise rather than a pulsating one. As the noise reduction was my purchase criterion, I am a little disappointed as the Jabsco pump was only a year old. In addition, the high delivery rate automatically increases the water consumption to a not insignificant extent. However, if you want to replace your old pump anyway or attach great importance to high water pressure, you can go for it without hesitation.

Totally rusted, total loss
After a few years, the pump had completely rusted and seized due to a leaky seal between the pump part and the electric motor.
So it was a total write-off.
The same model had to be reinstalled to avoid major modifications.
Hopefully this pump will last a little longer.

No service from the supplier
The smooth start-up and the unneeded equalizing tank were of course buying arguments at the time. At first everything seemed to work flawlessly. Until then, about a month after the warranty has expired, the first "jerks" began to appear when conveying. Although it was hardly noticeable, it was still "bearable". Later, after about two weeks of inactivity, the pump did not start at all. Housing dismantled, no defects or foreign bodies found in the gear pump, reassembly ... worked again. It could happen, I still thought. Two weeks later, the same game. The guarantee was of course long expired and SVB could only refer to the manufacturer and his goodwill. However, there can be no question of the latter. Then the worst case scenario for wintering. Everything was drained. After the above mentioned dismantling and reassembly of the pump housing, start-up and water transport to empty the tank. It splashed funny from every crack. Forgot the cover seal incorrectly installed? Definitely not. The shaft seals ("Simmering") made of cheap plastic were simply junk and water not only ran alongside but also penetrated the pump motor. Spare parts delivery by the manufacturer (Italy?) Unfortunately still nil. The Shurflo, which was ordered as a replacement, has been in service since then (again with a compensation tank) including long idle times. Since then, my enthusiasm for Marco products has been "limited".

Marco pressure water pump
Installed in the motorboat as a pressurized water pump. Very loud and an unpleasant running noise, everyone is awake at night. Pump flies out again.

Broken for the 2nd time
Pump was defective for the first time after 2 months of operation and was repaired under warranty. After the replacement pump also gave up in the second season, the repaired Marco was installed again. It has not survived its second season either and ended up in the waste bin.

after 2.5 years of scrap
Worked for 2.5 years to the satisfaction (just about the warranty period :-), but unfortunately the ball bearings never seem to have seen a lubricant :-( pump fixed, bearing over :-(

Electric motor inside full of water and rusted
Pump electric motor is completely under water
And is rusted and therefore seized
How can water get into the electric motor?
