Identical alternator

The alternator really does seem to be identical to the one originally installed by Volvo Penta, but at a much lower price. The alternator came with the usual report of the individual final test before packaging - that's all Volvo supplies. Even the impeller for the V-belt fit for me. If it doesn't fit, as I've had with other Volvo Penta replacement alternators before, just take the new and old alternators to the nearest garage and ask them to use a pneumatic impact wrench to transfer the old V-belt pulley from the old alternator to the new one. The old impeller can be reused without any problem, as these alternators, unlike cars, don't have a freewheel that wears out. The conversion with the impact wrench in the garage actually takes a maximum of one minute.
