we visited the SVB shop in person and selected the Spinlock Life Jackets as an upgrade to our old Life Jackets. It was worth trying them on in the shop and we experienced excellent service from the competent SVB team on site!

The vest is of high quality and very comfortable to wear. It won't restrict your freedom of movement during sporty sailing.

A little tip: we love bold colors ;-)

We have used the Spinlock Deckvest 3D 275 N so far and were actually satisfied. What was annoying, however, was that the collar always touched the neck.

The successor model 6D is now cut deeper in the neck, is now extremely comfortable and is therefore highly recommended without reservation. The closure has also been redesigned and the annoying fiddling involved in the previous model is a thing of the past.

Very comfortable to wear even if you wear the vest all day. I already have the second vest, any time again.

Now used on all trips for a season. You can hardly feel it when you wear it, it's not that heavy, it doesn't press on your neck. The crotch strap keeps the vest stable.

Unfortunately, more male users seem to have requested a crotch strap. As a woman, I found the two crotch straps on the previous model much more comfortable. Otherwise, it's a great vest that you wear and doesn't just sit around.

We bought two of the vests and wore them daily for five weeks. As expected, the vests are of very high quality and a real upgrade in terms of comfort compared to our previous SeaTec vests.

A small zippered pocket on the side strap would have been desirable, in my case for a pocket knife, which I always like to have on the vest. Another positive feature is the manual release for the vest, which, unlike other models, isn't intrusive at all. The leg strap, like with almost all hobby vests, is still a nuisance. I've switched to attaching the vest to my waistband with a soft shackle, so it doesn't slide up in a fall, and I don't have any unwanted bulk between my legs.

Perhaps the ladies and gentlemen at Spinlock can come up with something else innovative here. Some work vests have thigh loops, but these are also a bit annoying. Meanwhile, my wife is sewing eyelets onto my sailing trousers so I can shackle my vest. -)

It is my second Spinlock Deckvest 275N. It's relatively expensive, but I find it comfortable to wear.

For a long time I struggled with buying such an expensive vest. Because of the good test results (yacht etc.) I thought if I really needed it, it would be worth it. And based on a useful life of 10 years, the price seems reasonable.
After the purchase, then the big disappointment in the small print of the operating instructions "After the first use, the shelf life of this product should be 5 years."
In contrast to vests from other manufacturers, which normally have a shelf life of 10 years before they are due to be discarded, the Deckvest is therefore ready to be discarded after just 5 years!
The price-performance ratio is catastrophic with 5 years of durability! This significantly shorter durability compared to other vests should definitely be clearly pointed out in the product description. I would not have bought this vest if I had known that.
