The electrical connection should have a plug-in connector.

The original old plug had to be cut off and connected to the open cable using clamps, so the pump could be reconnected to the old mating connector of the boat's electrical system.

That was definitely too complicated.

If the pump needs to be replaced again, pluggable contacts would be great.

A plug with screw terminals would allow for very quick pump installation.

There should also be a mounting plate for the pump that is securely screwed to the boat.

The pump itself should simply be plugged onto this plate, making a mechanical replacement very quick. Currently, four screws have to be driven into the boat hull.

I generally miss modern plug technology in boat electrical systems; many connections are still made using conventional electrical terminals.

Delivery difficulties

I had all the trouble in the world to recover my pump. Indeed in the shop in the morning I was told that there was nothing in my name. In the late afternoon I went back and saw a package stamped SVB with my name written on it, they didn't want to give it to me because UPS had blocked the package. I told them to call UPS meanwhile I called SVB who told me they were calling UPS. In the end I took out my ID card, they took a picture of it with the package and I got my pump back. It's perfect and does the job. Thank you to all the protagonists for what they have done, this is the first time that I have had problems like this and I hope it will be the last time.

Jabsco pump to replace FloJet R4105143

The pressure water pump PAR-MAX 3 12 V 11 lmin 2.8 bar is used on board a 28 ft sailing yacht. It pumps "directly" without an expansion tank. Basically, it does what it's supposed to! However, you have to turn the faucet on wide to get a continuous pump performance. A small jet of water is not possible, if the tap is turned on too little, the water comes out in spurts and not in a "flow".
However, this behavior is significantly better than with the pressure water pump PAR-MAX 3 12 V 11 lmin 1.8 bar, which I tried out first.
