Exchange of old Autohelm AP to new Raymarine

Drive, Rudder Sensor, Control Unit fitting perfectly into the previous holes and fittings. ACU is slightly bigger than the old one. Easy connection of the new SeatalkNG. Log, Echosounder and Wind Sensor require a connection via converter cable to the new SeatalkNG as they got their power supply from the old ACU.

The mechanical installation, especially of the linear drive, wasn't exactly straightforward. This was less due to the drive itself than to the space constraints on the ship. Unfortunately, one of the mounting bolts was drilled incorrectly. Raymarine offered no assistance whatsoever; the bolt could only be installed by omitting the provided washers. Very poor quality for the price.
