This part needs replacing after the previous magnet oxidized. Installation requires some skill and involves drilling out the old magnet's housing. The connection isn't straightforward because the sensor wires are tiny; I used a waterproof junction box attached to the windlass motor to try and protect it. Otherwise, once the windlass is reassembled (and regreased), it works perfectly.

Perfect
Fits and works perfectly. I had to replace the sensor on my Quick "Flair" windlass. I had to shorten the cover supplied, which then fitted perfectly into the hole provided in the base of the winch (I pushed out the old sensor). The sensor works without any problems with the chain counter from MZ-Electronics, model NAUTI 011-X.

Good product
Used it as chain counter in a DIY arrangement to set up remote control for my anchor windlass. Functions flawlessly and Magnet is well sized and very strong. Mounting Location would be easier if cable was a bit longer

The magnet individually, then the rating would be perfect
To make a long story short, for several chain nuts, you also need the magnets.
A two more magnets in the sensor kit would be okay or the magnets in a set of 2 or 3.
Now I just have a spare part, the sensor.
