Good result

After appropriate preparatory work, the primer was easy to apply with a roller and flat brush. The many age-related hairline cracks were also well filled and were barely visible. The subsequent sanding and final coat of 2K varnish worked very well. My 53 year old Compass 31 looks really fresh again.

No replacement for International Undercoat

I'm not a professional, but I've "got the hang of it" over the years.

1 container, white

Requirement

0.8 sqm wood (boat building board) with old 2K paint, filled and sanded

Result

Very good flow, absorbs quickly. Perfect for primer.

- Poor coverage, filler areas still visible after 3 coats of paint. Can empty after 4th, finally
covering coat.

Conclusion: Not very effective due to poor coverage, therefore too much work and ultimately far too expensive.

No replacement...
