A very nice color for my Z-drives.
I can't yet say whether it also works against the vegetation.

Super Antifouling
Very easy to work with. Super smooth after painting.
Please use a breathing mask (Dräger or similar) as it has a very strong smell.
Can recommend the paint.

Recommendation
After three months in fresh water, only minimal algae growth was seen. This can be easily removed with a sponge. For test purposes, I left an area on the keel with the vc17 from last year. The growth is much stronger there. The application took some time because the primer had to be applied over the vc17 first. But overall it was doable. The Hempaspeed itself in particular is very easy to work with. In short, a clear recommendation.

Good biocide-free antifouling in freshwater
Antifouling can be easily applied to Conversion Primer with a roller, covers well, yield corresponds to manufacturer's specifications, no significant growth after 6 weeks in fresh water with the boat being used at least once a week. The effect over the full season cannot yet be assessed on my boat, but it was good for clubmates in the previous season.

Better than some biocide-containing paints
I am convinced. I sail in fresh water and even after four months there is hardly any growth on the hull. The manufacturer's specifications are correct.

VC 17 M used to be the favorite. If it works with the fouling prevention, Hempel is now the favorite

Very satisfied
We've driven it for two seasons now. Repainted once in the second season and hardly any growth in both years. We will repaint it again this spring. Area is IJsselmeer and Wadden Lake. Clear recommendation, finally you no longer have to constantly have to polish yourself on the dinghy or on your body when you get to the underwater ship.

Good effect even under changing conditions
The processing took place in spring 2023. According to the manufacturer's instructions, a layer of conversion primer and then 2 layers of Hempaspeed TF were applied to the old AF. The sailboat was sailed in different waters during the season, fresh, brackish and seawater, and was also parked for long periods of time. When the crane was removed in the fall, there were only small traces of slimy growth, which could be completely washed off even with light equipment (hose and sponge). A neighbor had significantly more vegetation with "conventional" AF (however, the age of its AF is unknown).
The layer thickness appears to have been halved, so a new layer will be applied in the coming WL.

Manufacturer's information "For light vegetation conditions"
Those who can read benefit from life. Unfortunately, I ignored the manufacturer's instructions when I moved the sailing ship to the Baltic Sea in April 2025. The result was severe growth of smallpox and other creatures, with a speed reduction of approximately 25%. In between, I craned it out and cleaned it twice. During winter storage in September 2025, there was again about 25% growth on the underwater ship. Only the areas where the trestles had been resting during winter storage and which had been painted with remnants of "good old Bizid" antifouling in the spring had absolutely no growth at all. So the search for effective antifouling continues...

Exceptional glide but non-existent antifouling properties!!!
First of all, I would like to point out that the boat I am talking about below is located in the Mediterranean (Côte dAzur).
I carried out the application at the end of summer 2022 on a new hull (dedicated two-component primer two layers of Hempaspeed TF antifouling).
The glide is exceptional but the antifouling properties are absolutely non-existent!!!
The 2022 season was very short (new boat launched at the end of the season). This is followed by a few outings at the start of winter with an already very dirty hull, then wintering afloat.
May 2023 fairing. The hull is extremely dirty and covered in concretions. However, high pressure cleaning restores the shell to new condition (no shell has managed to penetrate the product).
I'm doing some touch-ups on the flotation with an unopened 0.75l pot that I had left.
The cleaned hull is perfectly smooth and shiny, I put it back in the water and find that exceptional glide that I had on the first application.
After 3 weeks, with sunshine and increasing water temperature, the hull is already covered with thick concretions that the mechanical action of the moving water absolutely cannot eliminate (the boat's cruising speed is 20 knts).
The 2023 season is thus marred by catastrophic performances and increased fuel consumption due to permanent dirt on the hull. The only solution is long apnea sessions to remove the concretions using a spatula. As there is no antifouling action the operation must be repeated daily
I would like to point out that there is absolutely no question here of a lack of application, all the manufacturer's recommendations have been respected.

I contacted Hempel France and spoke with the manager of the marine division, it emerged that everything I have just described is perfectly normal!!! This product is not at all suitable for hot and very salty waters (like the Mediterranean), which is why Hempel does not market this product in France!
I am therefore quite unhappy with SVB which markets this product to its French customers. It is a fairly expensive product and takes a long time to apply, and the conversion to another antifouling will require costs and a significant amount of work (certainly SilicOne in my case, which according to Hempel France, is suitable for my location).

Poor anti-fouling and poor durability
I used the Hempespeed on sanded VC Offshore. The product was good so far.
However, the fouling protection was catastrophic, after a few months in the water I had 2-3 centimeters thick shells, smallpox and slime on the hull.
In addition, the color near the water pass was already coming loose during the season.
At the end of the season I had a lot of trouble removing all the animals from the hull.
So I would not recommend this product.
