Everything was great, but it took us some time and a few tries for the initial setup and correct pairing with the iPhone. That's to be expected, though. In the end, everything worked perfectly and easily. I would definitely buy it all again!

It was turned on non-stop for 30 days. Constant tracking and 20-30 daily messages to land contacts. It clearly needs a view of the sky, so you need to bring the inreach into the cockpit. But with the bluetooth you can be downstairs on the phone texting. We bought it as a back up to the iridium Go and ended up using the Inreach more because it is faster and easier to use.

Everything chic!

I use the Garmin inReach Mini 2 for sea weather reports, track sharing and messaging. The emergency call function and the option of being able to talk to a doctor if the worst comes to the worst gives me more security.

Not being the first time I have a Garmin Inreach, I bought this one after the previous one was stolen and I am extremely satisfied because it is really very small allowing to have it in a pocket and at the same time, with the access via Bluetooth we can have all the features on the phone.

I consider it much more important than a MOB because while these have a 24 mile range, the Garmin is a personal Epirb with satellite connection. Just press the SOS button and a message is sent with our location.

The SMS service is fantastic for communications with land that we can use for weather routing or just to let you know that everything is ok on board.

A must have for anyone who is at sea.
