Im not a fan

We bought our boat new, with the udst-800 triducer. It failed in a few months, losing the speed measuring capability, which affects other calculated data. The defective unit was replaced under warranty. It failed again, just after the warranty expired. I replaced it with a dst-810. That new unit failed within a few hours, failing to report depth. I returned that unit and bought a second dst-810. So far, after three weeks, its working, but Ive lost confidence in the product.

For your information, I did not purchase this product from SVB. Perhaps I should have...

Purchased at the end of November 2022. Installed in January 2023. It broke down (depth) in September 2005.

Airmar, Garmin, and the reseller refuse to cover the cost because the two-year warranty period has expired. And obviously, it's not repairable.

I'm forced to buy the same model again because Airmar holds a de facto monopoly on this type of device.
