I have no regrets about switching from Navionics to Lighthouse charts.

I use the LH chart on an Axiom 12 plotter. I'm very satisfied after a year of practical use. I find the chart area and the price more customer-friendly than Navionics. Furthermore, the personal contact with Raymarine, for example at the boot show in Düsseldorf, is very friendly and helpful.

Lighthouse charts, but only on a Raymarine plotter

When LightHouse charts were first released, I used them on board an AXIOM chartplotter for comparison with Navionics charts. To put it simply, LightHouse charts have now reached a level of quality where I prefer them to Navionics. The charts also include a wealth of additional information that isn't immediately obvious. Both Raymarine and Navionics have gaps, especially in smaller secondary waterways, which is acceptable. Unfortunately, updating LightHouse charts is considerably more cumbersome and time-consuming than updating Navionics. Furthermore, the chartplotter's operating system needs to be updated regularly.

Hardly usable, at least in the Netherlands.

Within a week, three waterways had disappeared. In Leeuwarden, a section of the Harlingervaart had disappeared, under Amsterdam a good section of the Amstel and under Haarlem a section of the Ringvaart. All large and busy waterways! The ship continued sailing through the void. I have not found a way to report this to Raymarine.

Sie müssen sich einfach nur im Raymarine ChartManager einloggen und im Bereich „Meine Karten“ navigieren. Dort wird die vorhandene Karte aktualisiert. Unter den „Download-Optionen“, findet man auch den Punkt: „Karte verbessern“. Dort können eben genau solche Probleme in der Abdeckung gemeldet werden,
