True Heading designs most of the existing chips for AIS reception and transmission. Ive had their products for many years and the new CTRX is compact, full featured and very well engineered. Quite happy with the purchase.

Very good installation

Installed on a motorboat, without any problems. I added a small switch on silent mode and stuck the antenna on my dashboard. It is possible to retrieve COGSOG data on the NMEA bus provided that the box is programmed remotely by TeamViewer. Everything is included in the kit except a small switch. I use it in NMEA & Wifi via a router to retrieve data from Navionics. The material seems solid and I had no problem making everything myself. To contact support, it is ideal to do so in Dutch.

Wifi doesn't work

AIS can be configured and works. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi cannot be configured, and there's no software option. SVB doesn't offer support; the device has to be removed and sent back to the manufacturer, even though it's likely a software issue. The device has been unavailable for weeks, so I wouldn't buy it again and can only advise against it. I'm curious to see how the problem is resolved.
