The product initially appeared to be overpriced in the online catalog. However, after viewing the delivery, the brackets, seals, etc. were of high quality and it was OK. However, the mounting screws included in the delivery for connecting the plastic base to the POD bracket on the pipe are clearly too short for "top" assembly. This should not happen at such a price, because it now leads to an unnecessary, annoying trip to the hardware store.

Top product - but - unfortunately all the screws on the housing cover had to be shortened because they were \'running into\' the blind holes in the locking edge, meaning the cover could not close tightly.

This review refers to a model 3S that I bought to install a Simrad NSS8 on the rudder. The product itself looks quite sturdy and makes a good impression. However, the instructions to cut out the device with a jigsaw are extremely difficult. The plastic melts back together immediately behind the saw blade, naturally leaving a thick bead. It took me about 2 hours to get a halfway suitable hole of 245x171mm, although the millimeter specification is almost a joke. When screwing it together, I was in for a big surprise. I couldn't screw in about a quarter of the screws. It turned out that the threads were simply too short or not cut at all. I was able to help a little with a thread cutter. Unfortunately, it is broken off and still stuck in the last screw hole.
For this price, I would have expected much more. In any case, I will be very careful when buying a product from Seaview in the future and would prefer an alternative.
