Pay attention to good fastening. Unscrewing the pot to change the filter takes some force. Be careful when screwing in the hose connections. The threads should mesh properly the first time, something can easily go wrong. Greetings Erhard.

This filter lives up to its name, it really filters, so that the drinking water from the tank no longer "smells".

The plastic hose connectors are too weak and break easily. This happened to me with a two-year-old filter and a new one.

Not everything was better in the past - but a lot was. I bought this filter as a replacement for the same product. The cover of the old filter was torn. It should be easy to replace the old one with the new one. But think again. The connections on the previous one were made of metal and a bit larger in diameter. The new one is made of plastic and only 14.9mm in diameter. The hose goes over easily but has to be squeezed hard by the clamp - otherwise it leaks. What's worse is that the connections aren't tight either. At first, yes, but not during the first trip. The water pump then pumped around 100l into the bilge before it was noticed. When I tried to tighten the connection, it broke off. (The hose clamp was loose.) After dismantling, the filter fell into the bilge once and the second connection also broke off. The choice of material and wall thickness was poor. Of course you shouldn't tighten a plastic plug too tightly, but at least tight enough that the connection is tight. Customer requirements not met.

Had to replace one of the hose connectors for a brass type. During tightening in the housing the hose connector broke off. Poor quality.

These filters have no technical specifications such as operating pressure and flow rate, in spite of demand from Yachticon could not be specified.
