The problem with the handles is that there are rarely any flat surfaces on the lower part of the hull. On curves, the handle can't fit flush and therefore won't stay in place. This single handle has a better chance of fitting flush than the double handle. So far, it's held up quite well. We'll see how it performs in a few years, when the rubber loses its flexibility. So far, it's been a good purchase.
