Installation of the special cables for Evinrude Johnson OMC from 1979 not possible

Wanted to use the product to operate an Evinrude 8 HP motor which is currently operated via a type of slider, the tiller was removed so that it fits into the shaft of the Dehler Delanta 75. As the control cable I got the CC205 special cables for Evinrude Johnson OMC. On the motor side, these cables match the motor to the switch box. They are equipped with an eye that does not fit the switch box. You will need 10-32 UNF end pieces like you have some shift cables. However, these do not have the eye that is required for the motor connection. There are supposed to be adapters, but nobody could guarantee me whether they would fit. If you have Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki engines, the box is recommended for Johnson Evinrude OMC engines, I advise against the switch box. Maybe I can help someone else with my long run.

During my order the price suddenly went from 109 to 129 €, so I called the customer service, my interlocutor pulled out a big lie (VAT add) to explain this increase while catalog prices are already inclusive. I had 20 year old version of this and this new one was easy to install. In the old one the button core was plastic, now it is metal. Otherwise it is the same. In the old one a little metal pin was rosted and broken and did not release or connect the gear. So this thing is not very salt water friendly.\r\n\r\nI compare prices and qualities to chinese smartphones and with 100 eur you could buy a good quality dual or cuad core smartphone. Boating is not a poor mans hobby.
