A bit expensive, but this is apparently common with VOLVO spare parts

I have been using this shaft seal for many years and am very satisfied with it. It is absolutely leakproof and requires only minimal maintenance. The purchase price is extremely disproportionate.

No experience with the socket yet because I bought it in the winter. Service advice/delivery from SVB excellent. Therefore 4 stars

I am very satisfied with this stuffing box. She has served with me for over 6 years now and that is trouble-free and maintenance-free. Now I change these because I have to pull my shaft. Easy disassembly and assembly. Only the price !! If I think of what the jack at DM times cost. Nevertheless, I can recommend it. SVB: Easy ordering via Internet Fast delivery time-Good product and installation information.

I changed the shaft seal after 15 years. She was still tight. Just like the new one, I just lowered the original clamp 15 years ago and replaced it with two V4 A clamps. Kind regards

a bit expensive - but otherwise overcrowded - for 4 years 2-300hrs (7m sailboat) - then it is slowly leaking, since that is then progressing rapidly, it must be swapped urgently. That has a lot of work: engine out, etc ... Martin Haindl

Ideal for narrow and hard-to-reach bilges because they do not retract etc. Negative is only the limited life of 5 years.

Stuffing box was easy to assemble. The tightness still needs to be proven.

The Volvo rubber stopper has been tried and tested for many years and is ok, but there is a further development on the market with an attached grease nipple, which makes it easier to introduce grease, and with a bleeder valve, which makes venting superfluous.

Volvo offers the socket only for 42mm (25mm shaft) Steevenrohr on, also the outer diameter is quite large. That is not very flexible.

At Volvo, 27 gr of gummistool grease cost only € 4.20. So, therefore, a mistake. The GFett is enough for the next 10 years and until then I'm going through sailing.
