Good results achieved
I used the paint stripper to remove self-polishing antifouling from the same manufacturer, following the manufacturer's specifications with regard to the size of the area, thickness of the application, covering, outside temperature and exposure time. Even multi-layered antifouling (sometimes 5 layers) could then be easily scraped off the hull of a solid wood boat with a hard (!) Metal spatula. During a break from work I "left" a treated area for about 1 hour too long. There the dissolved antifouling was already dried again and was very difficult to scrape off. However, this corresponds exactly to the manufacturer's instructions for processing time. Repeated wetting and a (now short) short exposure time also "solved" this case. Time is one of the deciding factors. If you take your time, you can achieve good results. Tip I slit open the side of thin garbage bags (approx. 70x100) to cover them and unfolded them. The area to be treated is then a little more than 1 square meter. For me, that was the ideal area for the treatment. Paint surface 1 and cover, surface 2 and 3 as well, scrape off surface 1, collect and dispose of residues with the peeled off film, paint surface 4, scrape off surface 2 etc. etc. Note The paint stripper contains a lot of solvents and the solvent is "fairly volatile". In my humble opinion, the manufacturer's instructions for wearing a respirator with a suitable filter for chemicals and for ventilation should be taken really seriously.

I used it to process the UT of my AB because the previous one painted it with antifouling ... It works perfectly, please make sure you wear protective clothing.

Reliable stripper
If you follow the instructions, the pickling is easy. Important only that you only small areas processed and the stripper does not dry.

Feedback
Requires as many passes if the antifouling layers are too many or mixed with hard matrix antifouling layers. In my context of acquiring a used boat, it was difficult for me to foresee the real need.

A horny stuff, stinks after chemistry does exactly what it should. Antifouling is left stained Gelcoat left alone.

well, Gfk does not have to be lowered any more work relief - never sand down, but we had only 2 layers on it

It works well, at least with the International Antifouling. Needed several times to get to gelcoat. It does not smell so much and just a little bit of wind to make the thing sensible. Rather, cover hands, eyes and mask well on the nose. Leave residues that then consolidate and can be removed.

For stripping the old antifouling, good and easy to process

I bought a used boat and since I did not know what an antifouling on it (problem of the compatibility with a new antifouling), I decided to completely rebuild the underwater boat. Scratching with spatula and knives was very laborious (0.5m² in 2 hours), so Interstrip ordered. My procedure: Apply to approximately 1 to 1.5m² with the brush "lush" (not like a lacquer a thin film, there must be more drauf). 15min wait and then with a triangle scraper pull off (!), Not pushing work, which goes significantly worse. Triangle scraper I took the cheapest from the hardware store. In the case of a thick antifouling structure, several repetitions are presumably required. Time requirement: 3m² per hour per repeat. Then grind the remaining traces with the grinding machine. One thing in advance: without activated charcoal filter one can not process the stuff in a hall, it stinks violently (and I am not sensitive). In addition, a painting foil (the thin for 1 €) under the boat and the discarding colors immediately discard the stinking still weeks.

Safe in the application, works very well when covered with foil

To remove old antifouling and colors best suited. Short soaking times allow for fast working.

Application
Good product, unfortunately the boat shape makes it somewhat difficult to use.

Use: Removal of self-polishing antifouling, color black. Should be carried out in the open due to the smell. Highly recommended is the previous blasting with a strong pressure washer. After drying apply the stain with a brush. This is easy, but it creates a pretty goo, like tough honey. The stain also attacks household gloves and you should get some that are resistant to chemicals. \ R \ nThe recommended wooden scraper, I immediately exchanged for a metal spatula. The floor should be covered, color with stain also stick like honey. Repeated procedure several times, then blasted with the high-pressure cleaner. It's like squirting a oily surface. (maybe too dry?) Back remains an underwater ship, which still looks black, albeit with a thin layer. Will have to continue this in the spring then. Probably the only way to replace antifouling on a chemical basis.

For removing an old antifouling paint on gelcoat. \ R \ nGood efficacy, too thin, dripping from the brush when working overhead.
