very good windlass, only one where the oil is filled a sightglass as a screw so that one sees the oelstand!

The winch is very powerful and runs smoothly. The processing of the castings is only mediocre. The chain is passed through the hull through an opening in the base of the winch. Here the burr that occurs during casting was not removed and then anodized as well. So you can't remove it without damaging the coating. Not really relevant for the function, but should be better for the price.

The product received did not correspond to the bestaelten and and of you confirmed product !!! Ordered was windlass with 3 (three) connection contacts, supplied and received was product me 2 (two) contacts .... Also today's picture shows windlass Kobra with three terminals and not with 2, as supplied.

In my anchor winch of the same type, the engine has broken. For Lofrans winches there is unfortunately no information on whether spare parts are available at all, let alone with which delivery date. I would have preferred to buy a wind from another manufacturer. because this would have been connected with extensive adjustment to my boat I had me teeth crunching the same winds bought. Nevertheless, the advice of the SVB employees was competent and honest. However, it is advisable for everyone to buy a product from Lofrans due to the uncertain supply of spare parts. Therefore, only one star with satisfaction.

I bought this windlass to replace my old Lofrans that has been discontinued, so I couldn't buy the parts to repair it, Then the control box begin to malfunction. when putting anchor down. UP is working.
I contacted the warranty, they asked a lot of questions pictures and videos, finally, they reply me that the control box is malfunctioning. So now they ask me to sent the parts to them to evaluation and them they will send me the new part, mean while I need to put the chain up by hand, just because they policy don't send the parts before receive the malfunctioned one before. If your a cruiser probably not the product you should have.
So I have 2 windlass from Lofrans with problems in less than 1 year.
