the thicker the more difficult.
the aluminum rods must be polished smooth before use. the hollow ends bend under greater stress, tear and eventually break off.
a rod made of stainless steel would be better in my opinion.

Unfortunately the surfaces are in a catastrophic condition. The aluminum is oxidized and looks old and used. The adhesive labels can only be removed with difficulty and their adhesive residue can only be removed with solvent. This is particularly annoying with a tool that has to be pushed through a tight, braided line. However, after a greenish cleaning, the function was guaranteed. For this price I would have expected more.
