holds Already had the clips on my old, galvanized chain. And now also mounted on my new chain. The old clips could even be removed with a screwdriver and used again after 6 years. For assembly, you should use pliers that do not tilt if possible, so as not to exert pressure on just one snapper, otherwise it can break off. Eg combination pliers for 8mm chain.
