Despite payment, delivery was not received.
I'm currently sailing my boat on the Atlantic and made the mistake of placing an additional order without checking the pro forma invoice. As a result, the entire shipment, including the essential spare parts that I had fully paid for, was delayed, preventing my wife, who is following me, from bringing them back!
There are clearly communication issues here. Who checks pro forma documents while sailing, especially when the small print reveals a partial payment shortfall?
Who expects to receive goods they ordered and paid for on time without any clear indication – for example, in the subject line – simply not on time?
The customer service representative was unhelpful and seemed powerless to help with this strange and, above all, unfair and extremely annoying business practice, which has caused me significant financial hardship.
