Smartvent 100 solar fan

Hi,

the Smartvent 100 isn't all that great. Purchased in July 2025, it's already broken after less than a year.

I informed SVB service about this, and the response was, "Please take photos of the fan's production number and email them." When I asked if it could be found under the cover, they confirmed that it could.

Okay, there are no numbers on the entire fan, not even under the aforementioned "cover."

Anyone who has read my previous review of this fan should know that I'm using it under the stainless steel cover of my Smart 300. I even recommended it as a repair tool for the 300.

Would I buy it again? Maybe, but the service and warranty handling leave something to be desired at the moment.

If I imagine that there are owners who aren't lucky enough to live close to their berth, and that photos of numbers that don't even exist are requested for warranty processing, that's not exactly fun.
