The flexible outer tube Ø80 with the aluminum inner coating, as well as the flexible inner aluminum tube make a very good and stable impression. Hier zeigt sich: was gut ist und sich bewährt hat, braucht nicht verändert zu werden.
Nach 23 Jahren war jetzt eine neue Truma E4000 fällig.
Alle Abmessungen und Anschlußmaße sind gleich !!!, was den Austausch natürlich sehr vereinfachte, lediglich bei dem Termostatregler war eine neue Ø43mm-Bohrung notwendig. Eingebaut und läuft astrein. Ich bin begeistert.

VC Offshore is a classic among antifoulings. Not available in Holland (anymore), but very much missed by connoisseurs of the scene. Extremely high proportion of solvents so that you can do without "sanding". It (and all devices) therefore smells a lot.

Soweit ist das Gerät okay. Verglichen mit dem Garmin GPSmap 172 (hatte ich vorher) gibt es aber einige gravierende Schwächen. Z.B. ist der Bildaufbau im Zoom fehlerhaft (der Hafenplan bleibt alleine stehen, keine Umgebungskarte), der Bildaufbau ist sehr langsam, die Position, die Grösse und Anzahl der Datenfelder der Nav-Leiste ist fix, die Linien "zum Wegepunkt" und "aktueller Kurs" sind zu dünn und lassen sich dadurch kaum als Steuerhilfe verwenden, manchmal erscheint der Plotter "abgestürzt (für >5 sec. keine Reaktion), das Display spiegelt im Sonnenlicht, die Halterung ist nicht drehbar (hilfreich, wenn man auf der Kante sitzt und nach Plotter fährt), keine Hafenpläne aufrufbar (mag gehen, ich habe aber noch nicht rausgefunden, wie's geht - das Handbuch schweigt sich dazu aus) usw...
Alles in Allem würde ich das Gerät nicht wieder kaufen, aber für den Preis kann man wohl nicht mehr erwarten.

Anmerk. SVB:

1. Der Bildaufbau in den verschiedenen Zoomstufen liegt nicht am Gerät, sondern an der Digitalisierung der C-Map Karten. Wie beschrieben erscheint bei einigen wenigen Häfen der Hafenplan alleine am Bildschirm und die umliegenden Gewässer werden nicht angezeigt. Im nächsten Zoomlevel ist dann die Dastellung oftmals wieder richtig. Dito Hafenpläne - zu einigen Häfen sind leider keine Beschreibungen auf den Karten (der Plotter kann nur die Inhalte der Karte anzeigen, wenn diese nicht vorhanden sind, kann auch nichts angezeigt werden).

2. Die Stärke der Vorrauslinie ist nicht einstellbar. Wir haben die Anregung aufgegriffen und werden das beim nächsten Softwareupdate mit einfließen lassen.

3. Es ist richtig das die Position / Anzahl der zusätzlichen Datenfelder fest vorgegeben ist. Wir werden es im Hause diskutieren in wie weit wir das ändern.

Pump runs well! Please state when ordering whether you want the left or right-handed pump! on the pump that was delivered to me, the connections were at the front instead of hitting (as shown). Unfortunately SVB does not offer this option. In the future I would only order the thing by phone so that the right pump would come out :). Note SVB: The connections can be adjusted to the desired position by loosening the housing screws. Don't forget to tighten the screws again :).

Pumpe läuft gut! Nur bitte bei der Bestellung angeben ob man die links- oder rechtshändige Pumpe haben möchte! bei der Pumpe, die mir geliefert wurde, waren die Anschlüsse vorne, statt hiten (wie abgebildet). Leider bietet SVB diese Wahlmöglichkeit nicht. Ich würde in Zukunft das Ding nur telefonisch bestellen, damit dann auch die richtige Pumpe kommt :).

Anmerk. SVB: Durch lösen der Gehäuseschrauben lassen sich die Anschlüsse in die gewünschte Lage verstellen. Nicht vergessen die Schrauben wieder anzuziehen :).
