Recommended
This book is highly recommended, especially for non-experts, as an introduction. It covers the fundamentals, numerous illustrations make everything very clear, and there are plenty of practical tips.
My criticisms:
The layout is odd. The text stretches almost across the entire page width. Normal text and image captions are barely distinguishable in type and size.
There are annoying repetitions. The explanations accompanying the images are very detailed and often repeat almost verbatim what is already in the text.
I have trouble with the wiring diagrams commonly used in cars and boats. I would have preferred more "real" wiring diagrams and fewer pretty pictures. But that's a matter of getting used to it.
There is valuable information on 230V systems, but work on them should be left to a professional.

Nice!
The cushion is nice and thick and firmly padded. It's quite heavy, so it won't blow away in the wind. The design is a bit more streamlined and without the usual buttons. This makes it a good fit for more modern boats. We have several cushions, so you can adjust the comfort in a variety of ways.

...for retrofitting. I only want to equip the boat with what's necessary, and a battery monitor is part of that. Since all the information is best viewed in the app, I mounted the instrument near the battery. This saved me from having to run the cable all the way through the boat. Important: Before installing, take a photo or write down the back with the PIN for the app!
If necessary, you can have additional battery cables custom-made with cable lugs from SVB.
