Hi, hope all went well with the install. I figured I'd upload this for everyone's reference (I received from Bavaria tech support when I was working on those same lights. Has all the model numbers and sizes.

PPS. Apply the butyl tape to the aluminum frame seams prior to reconnecting them and let it ooze out so you get a good seal. The beauty of the butyl tape is its easy to clean up the excess and it stays flexible for years.

Hi, I had to do the same project a few years ago. Those fixed lights are notorious for leaking. Fortunately for you it sounds like you were able to separate the aluminum frames to replace gasket (the set screws on mine were corroded and I had to drill, tap and replace). If you bought lengths of the gasket material and had to cut to size around the acrylic window, make sure you first bond that seam with adhesive (LOCTITE 406 Super Glue works great and will be stronger than the rest of the gasket). Then to ease the replacement of the aluminum frame you can either use a pure silicone grease (the type used for O-Rings and gaskets - NOT a silicone sealant). It is more like Vaseline but OK to use on the rubber. If you do not want to use that, you can just use soapy water along the gasket (on both sides between the acrylic and the metal frame). You will find it slides on much easier. Good luck with your project and happy sailing. PS. Use a good quality butyl tape to bed the repaired lights back onto the deck. Do not use a sealant like 4200 or 5200 which will be very difficult to remove in the future (and unfortunately you will eventually have to remove it again - unless you sell the boat in which case it will be someone else's problem, so be kind.)
