thanks that clears up a lot ! those "under the sofa" batteries have been replaced with giant lifepo4 batteries, but i wasn't sure if that mimicked the original setup or if that was just rthe only space they could fit them. i had meanwhile found that 100 amp fuse, will be replacing that today. i somehow have a 13.3v reading on those battery cables at the end where the (now newly installed) anchorwinch sits, but there is no actual amperage. it's very strange. anyway i am thinking with the new fuse today i should have it resolved :-)

i have a problem with my windlass, as my boat has been partially rebuilt for 110v ac and has 2 giant lifepo4 batteries under the saloon seats i can't tell for sure what is original and what has been changed. do these boats originally have an extra battery bank for windlass / bow thruster ? if so where were they fitted ? (my boat is 2007, i think i searched everywhere, but did not find a battery)
