Hi Sandro, sorry, but I’d like to better understand your procedure, because from what I’ve gathered, yours seems to be the one that makes the most sense to me. So: you remove the air filter, which means we’re on the intake side—that is, the cold side. Then there’s something I didn’t quite understand: I assume “etichetta” refers to the impeller—that is, the turbocharger’s impeller—on the intake side. What do you partially unscrew to access the impeller on the cold side, or can you also access the hot side—that is, the exhaust-side impeller? Thanks so much!

Hi, I run my D2-75 at cruising RPMs between 2100 and 2400 rpm: at these RPMs, the engine temperature stays constant at 85 degrees Celsius. I’ve occasionally revved the engine up to 2,500–2,900 rpm, but I’ve never maintained a cruising speed at those levels. Volvo itself specifies 2,400 rpm as the maximum cruising speed, presumably because the engine and turbo overheat beyond that point. Have you tried maintaining a steady 2,400 rpm and seeing how the temperature holds up?

Maximum and minimum engine RPM for cruising
Good morning, everyone. I'm new to the forum—it looks interesting. I wanted to know, based on your experience, what the maximum engine RPM is for cruising that doesn't put too much strain on the engine. I also wanted to know if you've ever experienced the turbo getting clogged at cruising RPMs that are too low. Thanks, and warm regards
