Moin Volker, I have a 2900SE from 2008. The lower battery switch is for the starboard engine and all 12V consumers -> you have to leave it on to have power. The upper one is for the port engine and with the one in the middle you can bridge the batteries if one side is empty so that you can still start the engine. The rear two batteries are connected in parallel to achieve double the capacity because the consumers are connected to them in addition to the engine and the front one is only for the port engine.
