We had ieen similar problem and 3 years of searching. We sail on salt water but the leak water did not taste salty. So finally at all the quick connectors and the drinking water pump we put kitchen paper and yes at the pressure pump and the filter two hairline cracks but which eventually caused the necessary liters of nuisance.

I also replaced the lower bearing housing and bearing a few weeks ago on our Bavaria 38 (built 2003, delivered 2004). The dimensions you mention are correct. Jefa could only no longer supply the correct aluminum attachment bushing so I replaced the old bushing. Unfortunately I bought a new bushing at Jefa but for nothing so €60. Nowadays there is a rubber shaft on top of the bushing instead of a teflon shim and cap like before. Good luck with the replacement. Niek
