I replaced the tachometer LCD screen by following the instructions in this tutorial: https://youtu.be/I4GjY2NxXto
I bought the panel on AliExpress. Search for “Tachometer display for Volvo Penta 873992, 873686, 873688.” I’ve seen it listed at various prices—the cheapest is around €8—and they all seem identical.
It’s been working perfectly for two years now.
