I wanted to do something good for my boat. It completely backfired. After a short time, the fuel cap could only be opened with force. The lock has since failed. It no longer engages, and the cap spins. The hinged tab is far too small to exert force. It simply breaks off under moderate stress. Now, the fuel cap has to be cut open, which requires enormous effort, to access the screws. After that, it's thrown in the trash.
