Hey, go ahead and do that. I'm guessing the actuator has a motor with a gearbox, which could explain it. Best regards

Hi,
By the way, our Nidelv also had an autopilot installed. I think you can disengage it at the tiller lever to test it. Best regards, Olaf

Hi Wolfgang,
I just read your message today.
I don't have that problem. The rudder shaft turns quite easily.
I opened it up last winter to check it out. There were no seals or bearings inside.
There’s just some grease on the shaft. There used to be a small cup attached to it that I’d turn a quarter turn once or twice a year.
But even that was too much for me. Now it has an automatic lubrication system.
Take a look: https://sinntec.de/Nachfuellbarer-Schmierstoffgeber-SL-100-Inhalt-100g
At first, I checked it more often; now I only check it once a season.
I hope this helped.
The photo shows the rudder sleeve, photographed from the bottom up.
Best regards,
Olaf
A medium-stiffness spring was more than enough for me. It’s also easy to adjust.
