If you accidentally break this plastic dipstick cap, you’ll face an obsolescence issue that Volvo doesn’t really seek to resolve—other than by suggesting… replacing the saildrive! Aside from looking for a used part, there are two solutions to this problem: 3D printing (see photo of the red part), which didn’t completely reassure me, and—in my opinion—a much better option: an M14x2 round-head cap screw as shown in the diagram (a hex head won’t fit), made of stainless steel, for less than €2, without the level gauge—which is easy to replace—or simply by keeping the broken end of the gauge.
