Much more pleasant to use on the dinghy than the old two-stroke. But unfortunately, it's very expensive, which might make it very popular with thieves. And that's the problem: I haven't yet found a way to reliably protect myself from theft, especially since the battery and tiller can be easily removed without tools, even with the motor attached. With the old two-stroke, I had peace of mind when the dinghy was left unattended on the beach. I think the charging options are brilliant: - directly from the 12V electrical system (24V and everything in between also works) - or directly from the solar panel without an additional charge controller - or, if available, from 230V shore power (with a charger)
